Safer People Handling (refresher)
This 4 hour course refreshes and assesses the knowledge and practical skills of staff in your setting. Using the specialist equipment, such as hoists in your setting or less automated processes such as assisting a person to move into and out of a wheelchair, it is vital that your teams work safely.
The course includes;
Simple dynamic risk assessment processes
Legislation and how this maintains peoples safety
Staff are set practical situations and are assessed working this situation through using safe practices. They are provided with an opportunity to practice skills on one another (or the tutor).
