Level 1 Award in Food Safety in Catering 

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification aims to support low-risk food handling roles, where there is an element of food handling. This could include bar workers, waiting staff, health care workers, kitchen porters and stock/store room staff.

To complete this qualification learners would undertake 4 hours of face to face learning which includes the storage, preparation, processing, packing and handling of food.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination

delivered in your setting at a time to suit your business.

 

Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Catering

This qualification is aimed at individuals who are food handlers working in an environment where the cater for the food requirements of others. The qualification is delivered over 7 hours face to face with the support learners need to understand what is involved in the storage, preparation, cooking service and handling of food.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.
